Win Davson Art Gallery & Museum

Established in 1978, and like an Aladdin’s Cave of treasures, the Win Davson Art Gallery & Museum houses items and art relevant to the cultural heritage of the Lockyer Valley, and other significant historical objects.

Included in the Gatton Mercury Theatre and Mercury Children’s & Youth Theatre in the South East Queensland town of Gatton, it has provided cultural and arts education and inspiration to many.

Within this collection are 20 paintings by founder Win Davson MBE FTCL AASA and several works by her daughter Sharon Davson. The collection includes many award-winning art works as it had progressively purchased winning entries from open art competitions within the Lockyer Valley and Bribie Island regions.

It is our desire that selected works from the Win Davson Art Gallery & Museum collection would be shown in our gallery in 2011 or 2012.
