Davson ~ towards harmony featured a collection of 23 works on paper by Davson (created 1972 - 2010). These works on paper were kindly loaned from the permanent public collection of the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre in Muswellbrook, NSW. Accompanying the exhibition were 6 oil-on-canvas paintings by Davson borrowed from various collectors.

Opened on 17 November 2010 as the main feature of the Davson Arts Museum's end of year festive-season events, Brad Franks, Arts Centre Manager, Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre in Muswellbrook, NSW attended as Guest Speaker.

The exhibition pieces loaned from the permanent public collection of the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre in Muswellbrook, New South Wales included drawings, original silk-screen prints, etchings, mono prints and spatter works from early in the artist's career, as well one woven piece and a preliminary concept drawing.

This exhibition offered a rare opportunity for Newcastle residents to view Davson’s iconic painting Turning Point created in 2000. Commissioned by the Hon. Pat Farmer, Turning Point represents the flagship image for his incredible Pole to Pole run and Davson’s sponsorship involvement.

Other paintings on loan from collectors included Is Anyone Listenin g and four pieces from the With Gratitude series; Passing Memories, A Precious Find, When All Is Quiet and Traditions.

Fungai series,
is a fabulous photographic exhibition showing in our second gallery space. It features the wonderful world of Fungai, a rare large-scale photographic exhibition consisting of 35 images of unusual fungi in the Newcastle region by Greg Heathcote.
